My mother was pregnant with my bro and her hemoglobin was down so they had to put in one of those thick needles into her sternum, i think it's called. And she was crying for hours after from the horror she'd felt during .... And for a kid , i'm sure it would have been much worse !! Truly admire those who go into medicine. Empathy is a useful tool, but it would be heart wrenching to see a kid crying ... I can sympathize.
